Monday, May 3, 2004 - Nicole is frantic as she fears that Marlena will implicate her and Jan in Victor's murder but has to face a snooping Brady. Meanwhile, Jan disguises herself as a nurse as she puts her plan to kill Marlena into action. Jan tries to kill her with an injection of air into her IV but she is stopped before she can do it. After Sami cries to her mother for a reason to kill Roman, Marlena asserts that she loved Roman and didn't want him to marry Kate. She states that if she couldn't have Roman then no one would. Kate is shocked while John is recoiling from the confession. Marlena goes on to explain that she killed Abe because he knew what she was going to do and the rest of the murders took place as they each figured out she was the killer. Sami suddenly starts to rail at John and Kate, blaming them before rushing out. Kate is angry when Lucas chases after her. Shawn backs away from Belle more as Marlena tells Philip, Bo, Hope, John and the others how she killed Doug and Alice. Julie tries to strangle Marlena for what she did but is pulled away. Belle is rocked when Marlena claims her alibi lie gave her the time to get to Alice. The judge hints that Marlena will be facing the death penalty. Bo asks Marlena if she also killed Victor. Sami attacks Kate when she finds her in the chapel. Lucas tries to comfort Sami but she orders them all to get out as she cries hysterically. Belle is rocked to hear Shawn again tell Hope that he's leaving Salem. Philip tries to comfort Belle but she suggests he be with his mother.

Tuesday, May 4, 2004 - Nicole is anxious as Bo questions Marlena about Victor's death. She insists that she had nothing to do with his murder which causes Bo to comment that he always thought Nicole was the prime suspect. Brady pipes up that she has an alibi for the time Victor died and denies it when Bo asks if he's sleeping with the suspect. Before Marlena can mention seeing Jan with Nicole, her blood pressure zooms up so Lexie stops the truth serum drip while John lays into Bo for endangering Marlena's life. Nicole continues to worry that Marlena may tie her with Jan. Meanwhile, Jan returns to her parents' country house where she brings some grapes and champagne to the cage for Shawn's arrival. Shawn returns to the loft to start packing to leave town. While Mimi goes to see a depressed Belle, Rex does his best to convince Shawn to remain in Salem. Shawn insists that nothing can change his mind and heads up to the roof to grab some CDs for his trip. Mimi and Rex send Belle up there in hopes they can get back together. However, Shawn continues to argue that he must leave Salem though Belle worries that once he does, their relationship will be over. Will worries about his depressed mother and fetches Lucas to help. Lucas is shocked at Sami's state of mind and baits her with a verbal fight which quickly brings her out of it. As she stares at Lucas, Sami tells Will that she loves him and always will.

Wednesday, May 5, 2004 - When Marlena is unable to say anything but "them" when talking about Nicole and Victor's death, Brady asserts that everyone has been blaming Nicole even though there is no proof she killed Victor. Nicole thanks Brady for standing up for her and he repeats that he thinks she's innocent until proven guilty. Nicole panics when she overhears Lexie tell Judge Fitzwater that Marlena's memory could return once she comes off the truth serum or they can give her more of the drug later to ask more questions. Frantic, Nicole rushes over to the jail to see her friend Crystal and asks her to kill Marlena when she is returned to the cell tonight. Handed her multi-paged confession to sign, Marlena doesn't remember making her statements and wants to ask John why she killed so many friends and family members. Alone with his wife, John stuns Marlena with the news that she killed ultimately because of her love for Roman. Marlena denies it because she insists she's only loved John for all of these years. As she's taken away, John remains convinced that something is not right here and hints to Brady that he'll protect Marlena. After Mickey warns Jennifer to put those bearer bonds somewhere for safe keeping, she returns home and finds them missing. Patrick announces to Bonnie that he's leaving town. He's disgusted to find a piece of paper on which Bonnie has been calculating what to do with Jennifer's inheritance. Meanwhile, Bonnie wonders why he's in such a hurry to leave Salem. Though Belle pleads with him to stay, Shawn says goodbye to her. Devastated, she calls Philip for help.

Thursday, May 6, 2004 -Nicole pleads with Crystal to take care of Marlena tonight. Crystal can't take her eyes off Brady and John who are nearby trying to get a chance to talk with Marlena who has been returned to her cell. Brady finds his friend Trish working at the prison and chats with her about Marlena. In the cell block the inmates confront Marlena about the woman who was killed and threaten her only to find Crystal suddenly siding with Marlena to fight them off. Trish arranges for John to talk with Marlena and she worries that she won't make it out of there alive. Meanwhile, Crystal considers part two of her plan to kill Marlena. Hope finds Shawn at home, ready to ride Bo's motorcycle out of Salem. She presses him to stay and face his troubles as well as Belle. He insists it's over with her but Hope suggests he trade places and see what Belle's going through, thanks to her murderous mother. Philip arrives at the loft and Belle quickly rushes to his arms for comfort. Kate follows her son and offers to make them something to eat. While Philip heads upstairs to comfort Belle in the bedroom, Kate faces off with Shawn when he arrives. Julie helps Jennifer try to find the missing bearer bonds. Julie later reports that all of Patrick's things are gone. Calling Mickey over, Julie insists that Patrick took the valuable bonds. When Bonnie arrives, she resents her son being called a thief. Julie calls the police to report the theft and when she accidentally takes Bonnie's purse to find some aspirin for her headache, she reaches inside and pulls out a huge wad of cash. Meanwhile, Patrick starts hitchhiking to leave town.
